Rodrigo was born in Valparaiso, Chile and moved to Canada in 1988. He has lived in Verchères-Les Patriotes for the past eight years. He is married to Érika Enriquez and has three children, ages 11, 9 and 6. Rodrigo purchased his first home in the riding. His children belong to the Ste-Julie soccer league and attend the Sainte-Julie Taekwondo school. A graduate of the École Polytechnique de Montréal, he worked in aeronautics for major Canadian companies.
Rodrigo is the best candidate to promote the riding’s issues because of his strong support for economic development and social growth. Some of his most important goals are: to make the City of Contrecoeur an additional marine terminal, to work with the RCM to create an international-calibre scientific research park in Varennes, to work on improving water quality in the St. Lawrence River and to have the Champlain Bridge rebuilt. Only the Conservative Party is capable of fighting for these issues because it supports open federalism, economic development, respect for provincial jurisdictions and assistance to families and children.
