Statement by Colin Carrie

Conservative Party of Canada | August 22, 2016

Ottawa, ON – Colin Carrie, MP for Oshawa and Official Opposition Critic to Health, issued the following statement:

“I was recently informed that referring to the Minister of Health and the Liberal government as “limousine Liberals” may not have been completely accurate,” said Carrie. “We believed the Health Minister had charged taxpayers $1,700 for a one-day limousine ride around Toronto from a limo company owned by her campaign worker. The Liberals have corrected this and ensure us that she charged taxpayers $1,700 for a one-day Lexus ride around Toronto from a limo company owned by her campaign worker. Therefore, the more accurate description of the Minister and this Liberal government would have been “Lexus Liberals”. The error is regrettable.”
